The changing light on the Dolomites

They are widely regarded as one of the most impressive mountain landscapes in the world. Thanks to their extraordinary beauty and geological uniqueness, they are part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The pale rock faces of the Sassolungo, the Sella group and the Odle shape the skyline around Ortisei. Rugged towers, steep slopes and gentle plateaus create a fascinating interplay.

The mountains are particularly spectacular in the early morning and evening. During the Enrosadira phenomenon, the pale rocks are bathed in shades of pink, red and gold before slowly fading into the dusk. The ever-changing light, clear views and imposing vastness give the Dolomites their unmistakable atmosphere.

These are also within easy walking distance and will take you straight to the hiking trails and ski slopes of the Dolomites.

How do you get to Ortisei?

If you're driving, take the Brenner motorway. If you're travelling by rail, you can continue by bus or taxi from Bolzano, Bressanone or Ponte Gardena stations. Thanks to a nearby bus stop, you can leave your car behind and easily explore Val Gardena by public transport.

Terms and important information

Here you will find all the important information about prices, reservations, cancellations and your stay at SASKIA Apartments.

Our prices are per person, per day, based on the standard occupancy of your chosen accommodation. Depending on the season, an additional charge may be incurred for extra beds.

This tax is charged separately. It amounts to €xx per person per night and applies to guests aged 14 and over.

Your booking will only be confirmed once we have received your written confirmation and the agreed deposit of 40% of the total amount has been paid within four days.

You can pay the remaining balance on site in cash or by credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

Booking directly through our website secures you the best available price.

In the event of a cancellation, we reserve the right to retain the deposit paid.

Up to 70 days before arrival, no additional cancellation fees apply. If the booked accommodation cannot be re-let, the deposit will be retained. If we succeed in re-letting it, however, we will credit the deposit towards a future stay.

For cancellations made later than this, the following fees apply:

  • 69 to 31 days before arrival: 40% of the total amount
  • 30 to 16 days before arrival: 60% of the total amount
  • 15 days before arrival: 80% of the total amount
  • From 14 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount

In the event of a no-show, late arrival or early departure, you will be charged for the entire booked stay.

We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance to protect yourself in the event of a cancellation.

The apartment is available from 1 p.m. on the day of arrival. We kindly ask that you vacate the accommodation by 9 a.m. on the day of departure at the latest.

Dogs may be brought into the apartments upon request. We charge €20 per day for this service (food not included).

All of our rooms, apartments and the entire house are non-smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted anywhere indoors.
